Disney+Hotstar SuperOver Contest

These terms and conditions (‘Terms & Conditions’) shall be read in conjunction with the Rules and Regulation governing the Watch N Play Game and shall be binding on all Participants who voluntarily agree to participate in the contest titled “Disney+Hotstar SuperOver” (‘Contest’) which will be hosted by Novi Digital Entertainment Private Limited (“Novi”) on the Disney+ Hotstar App.

1. Game Format

Subject to the terms and conditions mentioned herein, the Contest will be conducted in the following manner:

1. The Contest will be made available every day on the Disney+Hotstar App during the period of the Indian Premier League 2020, prior to each Match as per the discretion of the Company. The Contest will run for both matches, in case of double headers in the Indian Premier League 2020. The Participant is required to switch to the correct video feed on the Disney+Hotstar App to be able to participate in the Contest.

2. The Contest shall include a set of 6 (six) trivia questions with 3 (three) answer options to test the Participant’s knowledge about the game of cricket. The Participants are required to answer each question within a 10 (ten) seconds Timer (“Stipulated Time”).

3. This Contest will be available only on the English feed of the Content.

4. The questions will appear in the social feed of the Disney+Hotstar App of the Participant as well as on the Star Sports channel.

5. Participants who answer all 6 (six) questions correctly shall be entitled to enter into a draw for Super Grand Prize which is INR 1,00,000 (Rupees One Lakh) provided the Participants meets the following eligibility criteria (hereinafter “Eligible Participants”):

1. The Participant should be an Indian resident and of age 18 years or above;

2. He/She should have answered 6 (six) question correctly during the Contest on the Disney+Hotstar App.

3. He/She should have an active Disney+ Hotstar subscription i.e. Disney+ Hotstar VIP or Disney+ Hotstar Premium. It is clarified that although guest users can participate in the Contest without registering, his/her access will be limited only to the free feed available for such Users,

Please note: For existing subscribers / Hotstar Users who answer the questions as guest users and subsequently log in with their registered / subscribed IDs - the Points will be accrued to a guest Unique Identifier till such time that the User does not register/logs in. The Points and Prizes will be forfeited once the User logs in with the registered phone number/Email ID/Facebook ID/ as the login details of this ID are associated to a different Unique Identifier.

4. Participants who purchase an active subscription on the same day prior to 11:59 pm after playing the Contest shall also be entitled to participate in the draw for the Grand Prize

7. The Participants will be able to access the Prizes / link for entering the required details in the “Prizes” section of the Disney + Hotstar App, after logging into the App using a Disney+ Hotstar account.

8. Participant will have to provide answers for each Question within the Stipulated Time, which starts from the time the question appears on the Participant’s Device. Only those options/answers which are received within the Stipulated Time, will be considered valid. Novi may increase and/or reduce the Stipulated Time to answer each question at its sole discretion and the decision of Novi in this regard, will be final and binding on the Participant(s).In the event the Participant’s responses to any of the questions during the Contest is not received within the Stipulated Time, due to any unforeseen reasons or errors including but not limited to technical or network errors or glitches, the question will be considered unanswered and the Participant will not be allotted any Points for answering the question, notwithstanding the fact that the Participant may have correctly answered the question through the Device within the Timer on the screen of the Device.

2. Scoring

1. The Participant wins points by correctly answering the questions displayed on the Participant's Device during the Stipulated Time of the Contest. Points associated with each question shall be displayed on the active Contest screen in accordance with the Rules and Regulations governing the Watch N Play Game. The Company reserves the right to revise the Points associated with the questions and the criteria for being eligible to win the Prizes as per the Prize Levels

3. Prize Fulfilment –Super Offer Prizes

1. All Participants are eligible to win one or more Prizes during the Contest as per the reward structure in section A (6) above. Based on the number of questions answered correctly by the Participant, he/she/they may become eligible to unlock and win the Super Offer Prize(s) defined in section A (6) above. The Participants who have won a Super Offer Prize will be notified by any form of in app messaging and/or a pop-up and/or a display during the Game Play. 

2. The Participant can join the Contest at any time during the period of the Contest, however, he/she/they will be able to answer the questions displayed on television / their Disney+Hotstar Application from that point forward and be eligible to win the Prizes associated with the Prize criteria.

3. In the event that the Participant logs out in the middle of the Contest and logs back in, the number of correct answers submitted by the Participant will continue to be added to the number of correct answers which accumulated before he / she logged out subject to the Contest being active after logging in. If the Contest is complete, then the Participant’s eligibility to win the Prizes will be decided based on the correct answers submitted by him/her before logging out.

4. Super Offer Prizes are visible, and can be collected from the “Prizes” tab in the main menu section of the Disney+Hotstar App or from the “Notification Bar” visible during the Contest.

5. On winning Prizes distributed by the Gratification Partner(s), the Participant would need to redeem the Prize he/she wishes to collect in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Gratification Partners and in accordance with the terms laid down in Rules and Regulation governing the Watch N Play Game.

6. The Company shall not be responsible in cases of Prize forfeiture resulting due to incorrect login details provided on the Gratification Partner website(s), absence of a registered ID with the Gratification Partner(s), in cases where the Prize has not been credited/cannot be utilized due to absence of a KYC compliance with the Gratification Partner’s terms and conditions, or any other reason(s) attributable to the Gratification Partner.

7. While the Company may allow visibility of the Super Offer Prizes in the “Prizes” tab on the Disney+Hotstar App even after the Season, Participants are expected to collect the Offers as per validity mentioned against these Super Offer Prizes. Please note that all Super Offer Prizes can have different validity/expiry dates and the Company shall not entertain any request for change, replacement or extension in an Offer Prize in the event of expiry.

4. Prize Fulfilment – Super Grand Prize

1. The Company will award one Super Grand Prizes (net of taxes) to an Eligible Participant. The winning Participant shall be selected by a process of random selection from amongst all the Eligible Participants.

2. If the said person is not 18 years of age as on the date of filling in the form, then the parent’s or guardian’s details shall be entered in the link. Please note, the Company shall assume a deemed acceptance of the Rules and Regulations by the Parent and/or Guardian of the Participant in such cases.

3. A Participant who has won a Super Grand Prize for a particular Contest day during the Season (whether claimed or not) will not be eligible for winning and/or claiming the Super Grand Prize for the rest of the Contest days during the Season,

4. Winner selection, announcement of Winners and Super Grand Prize fulfilment is subject to an independent third-party validation.

5. Participants who have won a Super Grand Prize, will be informed by means of an in-app notification or by way of email, text message or call using the contact details provided by the Participant during subscription within 30 (thirty) business days of the completion of the Contest. The Participant is also advised to refer to active Game screen for messages pushed by Disney+Hotstar and to check the “Prizes” tab in Disney+Hotstar’ apps main menu for further instructions. The Participant shall be eligible to claim Super Grand Prize (s) only upon receipt of such official communication through the Disney+Hotstar App. The Company will also display the names of the Participants who stand a chance to with the Super Grand Prize on their Social Media page, Social Feed or any other web page, at its own discretion.

6. The Super Grand Prize Winner shall be contacted by a Disney+Hotstar representative for verification and completion of the Prize fulfilment process. The Company will make five call attempts per day for five working days on the submitted mobile number. The Super Grand Prize Winner will be contacted within reasonable time of submitting the form, between 9 am to 9 pm. The Company will not contact on any number other than an Indian mobile number. The Company is not responsible to validate correctness of the mobile number provided by the Eligible Participant.

7. The Company may require the winner to submit necessary documentation to provide his/her eligibility and/or to verify winner’s identify. These document inter alia may include documents: (a) confirming the legal name - e.g. a passport copy, voter's Identity Card etc. ; (b) address proof - e.g. a telephone bill, electricity bill, etc; (c) a valid PAN card, for applicable tax compliances (“Winner’s Documents). The Winner’s shall be required to submit the Winner’s Documents to Novi within 24 hours from the date of the communication received from Novi by the Winners. In the event, any Winner(s) fails to submit the Winner’s Documents his/her participation shall be invalidated and Novi shall forfeit his/her chance to win the Prize.

8. The mode of delivery of the Super Grand Prize will be at the discretion of the Company

9. The Company reserves the right at its discretion to forfeit a Super Grand Prize Winner’s eligibility to win a Super Grand Prize in the following indicative scenarios and the Prize for the particular Contest day will be considered forfeited

   1. Not meeting the criteria set out for Eligible Participants;

   2. Failure to provide any documentation, proof or requested information, within the defined timelines

   3. Any false/incorrect/misleading information provided by the Eligible Participant;

   4. Any discrepancy is identified on review including but not limited to PAN not belonging to said Eligible Participant

   5. Failure to successfully contact the said Participant on the furnished contact details as per defined process

   6. Non-compliance with tax (direct and indirect) compliances required to claim the Super Grand Prize

   7. Failure to collect / claim the Prizes as per defined process and any other event not listed above

   8. Any Participant who breaches or is suspected to be in breach of the Rules & Regulations or any applicable law or if he/she is found to be misusing the Disney+Hotstar App or are engaged in illegal or fraudulent use of Disney+Hotstar App in any manner

10. In addition to the abovementioned terms, the Prize Fulfilment-General Terms and Conditions will also be applicable to Super Grand Prizes.
